Bobby’s journey began with tragedy at just five years old when he lost his mother unexpectedly. Left with no one to care for him and his older sister, Bobby faced the heart-wrenching reality of packing his belongings into a trash bag and leaving behind the only life he knew.

His childhood became a blur of different foster homes, each offering temporary refuge but never a permanent home. It wasn’t until he found his forever foster family that the trajectory of Bobby’s life changed. From Chesapeake to Franklin County, VA, Bobby’s impact rippled through the lives of thousands of young adults and teenagers through his work in student ministry.

For the last nine years, Bobby and his wife, Dell, opened their hearts and home to 13 teenagers in need. They witnessed firsthand the horrors some foster teens endured with their biological parents. Their experiences fueled Bobby’s passion to make a difference in the lives of children navigating the same system he once did.

Inspired by his friends and family, Bobby channeled his ambition into a new endeavor: Fostering Champions. This organization aims to not only provide foster teens with stable homes but also empower them to thrive beyond their circumstances.

Bobby’s vision for Fostering Champions is steadily becoming a reality, thanks to the generosity of donors who share his passion. With every contribution, Fostering Champions proves that it’s possible to transform the lives of aging-out and homeless foster teens, turning them in to Champions for life.
